carbon fibre used for fin blades has 3.000 fibres per thread. The Cressi carbon blade has 12.000 fibres per thread. Four times as much. Four times the resistance. Four times the flexibility and elasticity of kick response compared to other carbon blades on the market. Each thread in this carbon fibre is very, very small. So small that the total density of the blade is an incredible, unmatched 20.000 fibres per square millimetre.
Cressi Gara Modular Carbon Blade has the same design parameters for S-shaped undulating deformation as this innovative carbon fin following the Impulse project.
This movement permits a significant accumulation of elastic potential energy in the blade released in the return kick, transforming into thrust.
The effect has been achieved using a finite element programme that fully exploits carbon fibre’s performance.
The Gara Modular Impulse Blade is made of high-modulus propylene (2500 Mpa), a very reactive and highly elastic return.
The carbon fibre is imported from Japan and manufactured by Mitsubishi under strict qualitative protocols. The blade is subsequently finished with an industrial co-moulding process at Cressi’s factory in Genoa, Italy. The shaped and processed sheet is then produced in a specialist plant in Turkey.
*Please note these are sold individually – two blades are needed if setting up a new pair of fins.
Three Different Carbon Stiffnesses:
XLD is a high-flexibility blade dedicated to divers who prefer a very soft and smooth fin. It is indicated if your fishing sessions include long sessions and if you cover long distances.
MD – medium flexibility blade it is perfect if you fish using a boat to move from spot to spot, using a constant weight.
HF – stiff blade it is ideal for strong, powerful athletes with a higher body weight. It is also useful in waters with strong currents and when fishing in rougher sea conditions.
